Quickbuttons

The buttons above the editbox are displayed automatically if your Browser is capable of the needed JavaScript. They work pretty much like the formating buttons in your favourite word processor. In Mozilla and IE you can select a word and press a button to format the selected word. If you click without a selection, it inserts sample text at the cursor. In other browsers, clicking on the button presents an explanation for each feature in an infobox.

There is one more button which is not available in MediaWiki: The image button opens a selection window with available files to include in your page. You can upload new files there, too.

Most buttons have accesskeys assigned to them, too.
